Sunset Lanes Episode 10, restoration of a mid-century modern home
In April, my friend and colleague, Josh Robinson, just started a YouTube program to document the ongoing progress of the restoration/renovation project for his own home in Westminster’s Sunset Lanes. The 99 mid-century modern homes in this neighborhood are largely unknown to the Denver area, despite being designed by one of Denver’s prominent architects, Norton Polivnick, who was trained at MIT and Harvard (studying under none other than Walter Gropius). Josh is working hard to fully embrace the design ideas behind this home to make it even better than it was when it was new, while fully embracing the design ideas behind it.
In this episode, Josh goes over the plan for window restoration and begins prep work for painting the siding on the front of the home.
