Welcome to my actively curated list of "neo-mansard" style homes for sale in and around the Denver metro area. As a modern real estate specialist, I scour the MLS and other sources daily to find you the latest homes coming to the market.

There is no more polarizing style of mid-century homes than the neo-mansard. Initially appearing around the Denver area during the 1960s, the style continued well into the 1970s, and can be found on all manner of homes and buildings, including single-family homes, apartment buildings, office buildings, strip malls, and more.

The design of the neo-mansard was inspired by the Parisian "mansard" roof - which was originally created to take advantage of attic space at the top of buildings to create additional living space in highly dense Paris. How it got abstracted and part of the design of mid-century modern homes and buildings is beyond me! I am sure there is some background story - I just have no idea what it is - but I will find out eventually. Whatever that story, it definitely took hold in the Denver area, as witnessed by the sheer number of properties with neo-mansard roofs are for sale RIGHT NOW!
