Deza Estates was built by H. A. Swanson, originally invisioned as a horse-oriented neighborhood with homes that take full advantage of the hillside location and prevailng views. The project was never completed as planned, and abruptly ended, but not before several excellent mid-century modern homes were built there. The neighborhood has been recently rediscovered by its residents, and the Northglenn Historic Preservation Commission successfully nominated Deza Estates to the National Register of Historic Places at the beginning of 2024.
