Lynwood is the follow-up to the Krisana Park neighborhood nearby, with mid-century modern homes largely based on a Jones & Emmons design for Joseph Eichler in California. In additon to the original Eichler-inspired model, architect Frenchie Gratts of Gratts and Warner also introduced a few larger models and one smaller - including an A-frame design with an optional basement, and a tri-level design, in a time when split-level homes were almost unheard of.
